The hydrapulse unit uses a digital display to accurately show your chain speed and accurately measure the vehicles length within one inch per pulse.

Why are the numbers on my pulse board fluctuating?

The numbers on the board will jump within 2-5 numbers from the actual reading. But, if the range is too high it can cause the timing of your equipment to be off.

The following can cause the board to act erratically:

  • A defective board
  • A bad motor
  • The sensor set to far from the motor sprocket
  • Dirty Power - Different types of abnormalities cause dirty power.  One is in the form of power spikes and surge, or excessive line noise.  Others involve low power, where inductive loads connected to the system decrease the amount of actual power.
  • Non-Shielded Wires - If the wires are ran between non-shielded wires, the interference can cause the pulse to fluctuate.
