There are three faults that will prevent the reclaim system from running:

  • VFD Fail or faulted:  When ready, the VFD will send a signal to the PLC. When that signal is not present, either the power feeding the VFD has been lost, the VFD has faulted, or the VFD has failed.
  • Pressure switch trip: The pressure switch will send a signal to the PLC when the pressure being produced from the pump is less than 7PSI.  When this happens after the system has been running either the pump has lost prime or the switch has become plugged or is faulty
  • Low level float down: The low level float is located in the last reclaim tank where the suction lines are located.  The float sends a signal to the PLC when the float is in the down position. Either the level in the tank has dropped below the float or the float has failed.  (NORMALLY OPEN SIGNAL -- Normally closed 2 wire float)

Four Minor System Faults which will show the following messages on the HMI screen:

  • U/F valve on bottom of machine won't open
  • U/F valve on bottom of machine won't close
  • Recirc valve not closing, look at view port to see
  • Recirc valve not opening, Look at view port to see

All minor system faults are relevant to the motorized ball valve positions

There are four Ozone related Faults

  • Oxygen Pressure Low: The pressure switch inside of the ozone cabinet is not satisfied, likely because it is not seeing enough pressure from the oxygen concentrator.  To protect the ozone components, if there is not enough air pressure going to the cells, the system shuts the ozone off.
    • Common Causes
      • Oxygen concentrator has failed -- The expected life span is 16,000 hours
      • The Pressure switch has failed
      • A leak has occur in the tubing, fittings or components
  • Mazzei Vacuum Low: The vacuum switch is registering that there is not enough vacuum form the mazzei Eductor to run the ozone generator.  As water runs through the Mazzei, it creates a vacuum to draw in ozone, if it fails to do so the system shuts down ozone production.
    • Common Causes
      • Mazzei needs to be cleaned
      • The stainless steel check valve is plugged
      • The vacuum Switch needs to be adjusted
      • Recirculation line is clogged -- Typical issue
  • Over Temperature: The temperature switch is indicating the temperature is too high so the system has shut down the ozone to protect the ozone components
    • Common Causes
      • Fan filters needs to be cleaned/replaced
      • Fan has failed
      • Temp Switch has failed
      • Temp Switch need to be programmed
  • Internal Ozone Fault: The circuit board(s) inside the ozone cabinet is sending a signal to the reclaim system indicating there is a fault with one or more of the ozone components.  This fault appears when the drive board senses a problem with one or more of the ozone components.  The Red Fault Light will be on.
    • Common Causes
      • Drive board(s) need to be replaced
      • High voltage transformer(s) need to be replaced
      • Ozone cell(s) need to be replaced
      • Control board needs to be replaced
  • Very Loud Rattle Noise:   If you are experience a very loud rattle noise, It's almost always the white check valves.
    • Common Causes:
      • White check valves are bad, need to be replaced
      • White check valves are clogged.
Note:  if the check valve is clogged remove it and clean it first before replacing it.
