To get better results out of your foaming pieces, you want to make sure that you are producing a wet foam. When the wet foam hits the body of the vehicle or the rim of a car, you want the foam to run down the surface, taking the dirt with it.
If the foam is coming out too wet there is a possibility that the is not enough air going through the system, which will produce a dryer foam than what it's recommended. Make sure to adjust the pressures on the regulator to the correct PSI.
NOTE: Go to the base settings page of the solution page to find the proper PSI for all of your Sonny's Equipment
Most foaming applicators will have a needle valve adjustment at the foaming generator. The needle valve regulates how much air is entering the system.
To properly adjust the foam do the following:
- Close off all the needle valves to where you only have chemical coming out of the system
- Slowly open the valves. At this point air will get injected with the chemical creating foam
- Adjust the valve until you see a wet foma being produced.
NOTE: If you do not see foam forming while adjusting the needed valves, you may have a defective valve.
Before replacing the valves check for the following:
- Make sure there is air going through the air lines
- Check the regulator
- Check the solenoid valve to make sure it's opening when a signal gets sent to it
- Check for any leaks or cracked fittings
