The Omni baskets are meant to follow the vehicle smoothly through the washing cycle.
If the baskets on your Omni's are not moving smoothly check for the following:
- Check the pivotal shaft bearings - if these bearings are worn they will cause the basket to move sloppy while following the vehicle, change if necessary.
- Check for oil in the reservoir - If there is no oil in the the oil reservoir, check for any leaks around the reservoir or the cylinder. A bad cylinder seal will cause the reservoir to empty the oil through the exhaust port of the mac valve.
- The oil reservoir works together with a Deltrol flow control. The oil will help the cylinders extend and retract smoothly to keep the basket flowing nicely. Make sure to have the oil reservoir 3/4 of the way full and maintain when necessary.
- Check the cylinder rod for any debris. Wipe the cylinder rod with lithium grease to avoid seizing or dirt from getting into the cylinder body.
- A bad flow control on the reservoir or the cylinder
- The reservoir has a Deltrol flow control that controls the speed in which the basket follows the vehicle through its wash process. The valve attached to the cylinder body ensures that the basket retracts fast and starts washing the back of vehicles.
