How to get a great looking sheet.
There are different pumping systems that you are able to use with the Foaminator. Some will work better than others due to how each one meters the chemical to water ratio.
NOTE: Each unit arrives with 3 generators and a 3 way valve air manifold. The valve is an essential part of the unit, this piece will allow you to properly adjust the air to create the sheet needed.
If you are not getting a solid stream do the following adjustments:
- Go to the air manifold that was shipped with the unit and close all of the valves
- You should only now see water and chemical flowing through the body of the Foaminator
- As you start opening the valves, adding air to the chemical and water, the stream will start to foam.
- Do these adjustments for all three valves until you are satisfied with the sheet
Below is an example of the three way air valve. It is recommended to use the included valve with the Foaminator, 20 PSI of air going to the manifold.
After you have adjusted the air, you will them need to adjust how thick you want the sheet to look. It is easier to do this process with a Dosatron than it is with any other pumping systems
Below is a list of some of the popular stations that are currently available.
- Dosatron Injector -- Best injector to use with the Foaminator. The Dosatrons ratio to water adjustments makes it easy to dial in the thickness of the stream. If using a Dosatron, we recommend to start at the 200:1 mark and start your adjustments from there.
- Plumb a 3/4" hose to the middle generator and branch off from there.
- Hydraflex unit MD -- Uses different colored injector to mix the chemical and water. We recommend using a light green 3.25GPM injector, on a three injector manifold.
- Hydraflex unit XD or HD -- Use a 3 injector manifold with 3.25 GPM injectors or a single 10GPM injector, depending on your configuration.
- For those customers that are using the three 3.25GPM injector, they must run a 1/2" poly line from the injectors to the generators. We recommend to start plumbing from the furthest generator first and work down to last one.
- For those customers that are using a single 10GPM injector we recommend to use a 3/4" line , from the injector to the generator, then divide the line to the 1/2" ports on each generator.
- G57 Pump Station -- Uses a Flo-Jet, Hydrominder and a tank to mix the chemical for the Foaminator. It is recommended to use 3-G57 pump stations, one for each generator. The G-57 pump stations will provide a maximum of 5GPM which is plenty for the flow of chemical to the manifold. Using only one or two G57 pumps will restrict flow and not create a full sheet.
