I just installed my pump and there is oil coming out of the cap, what's wrong?
Sometimes the smallest details may cause us the biggest headaches. If you have just installed a pump and you are experiencing oil coming from the fill hole check the following:
- Make sure to remove the plastic that is covering the caps breather hole
- The Wanner pump comes with oil, do not more oil to the pump. Doing so will prevent the oil from circulating correctly in the pump and cuse the oil to come out of the top of the pump.
- Check the rotation of the electric motor
Running the motor with the wrong rotation will cause oil to come out from the top of the cap. The pump will still work, but oil will come out from the top. Go to your motor and switch any two leads to fix the problem.
