Is this a new install?
With new installations it is usual for a piece of tie wrap or foreign object to enter the pump through the tank. This object will cause the valves to stay open and cause the pump to run rough. If this occurs do the following:
- Starting with the outside bolts, take all the screws off the front plate of the pump.
- The second plate houses the valves. Check every valve to make sure there is no debris causing them to stay open.
- Clean the valve by removing the debris
- Re-attach the front plate
NOTE: It is important to use a torque wrench when assembling the pump plate onto the body. Torque settings are 18FT LBS
