When was the last time the oil and filter was changed?
How much oil are you bypassing back into tank?
Check the flow control to see on what number the knob has been set at. Too low and the system will bypass too much oil causing more heat to run through the system.
What will make the power pack run hotter:
- Setting the flow control too low will cause more oil to bypass back to tank making the oil hotter.
- Using the incorrect hydraulic motor for your application
- Using water base oil
- Obstruction in the lines
- An oversized power pack
- Old Oil
- Dirty Filter
