For Air Take Up Conveyors:

  • Make sure the air compressor is on and running
  • Check the four shocks by the take up end of the conveyor for leaks(check tubing)
  • Check shock air manifold for any defective fittings and/or leaks

NOTE: An air leak will activate the low pressure switch that is located on the air take control panel.  When you have fixed your air leak, make sure to reset the MCC and the pressure switch.

For Spring Take-up Conveyors

  • There are no pressure switches associated with a spring take up.

Power pack

  • Low level switch activated. Check to make sure there is enough oil in the power pack.  If low on oil fill the tank until the power pack turns on then add one more gallon.

Note: If oil needs to be added to the power pack, check your hoses and motors for any leaks.

Motor Control Center

  • Check the motor starter protector in the MCC to make sure it is not tripped. If tripped, motor may be defective. Reset the breaker and test the equipment.  If the motor trips again CONTACT AN ELECTRICIAN
  • Have your electrician check for any loose wires or defective parts like the motor, contactor and motor starter protector.
